Every story below reflects how God is at work—bringing healing, reconciliation, and hope.
TRAVEL AND TRAINING
Building Skills and Sharing Hope at Lake T
A training was held from 2nd to 7th March in Mpulungu along Lake Tanganyika, bringing together twenty-two participants, including village headmen and pastors serving communities around the lake. This was the first time traditional leaders and church leaders met together for such a training, creating an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the two groups.

The training aimed to equip leaders with knowledge about trauma, its symptoms, and its effects, particularly on children. Many participants gained new understanding about the challenges faced by children and families in their communities. As discussions progressed, several leaders also shared their individual experiences, making the training a space for reflection and healing. By the end of the training, participants expressed a commitment to work together to better support children and strengthen their communities.
Impact Story: A Father’s Apology
One powerful example of the training’s impact involved a headman who attended the sessions. During one of the teachings, the participants discussed the importance of parents apologizing to their children when they have hurt them. This concept was new to many of the leaders and sparked deep reflection. The following day, the headman took a courageous step and went to apologize to his daughter, who is in Grade 11. In the past, he had often spoken harshly to her, telling her that she was dull and would never succeed in life. He had even told her that her future would be to become a prostitute and that she should get a family planning injection so that she would not bring unwanted grandchildren to the family.
Moved by what he had learned during the training, he apologized to his daughter for the painful words he had spoken to her. When he asked for her forgiveness, the daughter broke down in tears, and he also became emotional. The two of them cried together, prayed together, and reconciled. The impact of this moment was visible the next day when the headman returned to the training. His daughter personally escorted him to the session, demonstrating that their relationship had already begun to heal. This story became a powerful example for the other participants, showing how the lessons from the training could bring healing not only to communities but also within families.
Online Classes: Growing Through Challenges
We conducted two online classes, TCC 1 and TCC 2, and we thank God for the students and their commitment to participating in the program. TCC 1 is still ongoing, while TCC 2 had to be cancelled due to persistent internet connectivity challenges experienced by the students.
We are planning to launch three additional online classes starting next month. Please pray that more students will enroll and that the connectivity challenges experienced previously will be resolved so that the classes can run smoothly and effectively.
Bringing Hope to Vulnerable Children: Tanzania Outreach

Between January and February 2026, HSC Tanzania conducted several outreach activities aimed at supporting vulnerable children and youth spiritually and socially. Through teaching, prayer, and practical support, the team worked to meet both spiritual and social needs while building trust with those often overlooked.
Empowering Teenagers
More than twenty teenagers gathered to learn about the dangers of violence against children and the depth of God’s love. These sessions were more than lessons—they were opportunities to inspire resilience, compassion, and faith in young hearts.
Street Outreach
In Ubungo and Coco Beach, the team met children and youth living on the streets. They listened to life stories, prayed together, and shared the Word of God. Alongside spiritual encouragement, practical help was offered—food, clean drinking water, and medical assistance—reminding each child that they are seen and valued.
Stories of Impact
The outreaches led to meaningful outcomes:
- Children in need of protection were identified and connected to care centres.
- A girl living on the streets received mentoring and guidance.
- A young man with artistic talent was supported to nurture his gift.
Each story reflects the power of compassion and the importance of walking alongside those in need.
Encouraging Pupils in Katavi
At Milala Primary School, more than thirty pupils were reached with messages about loving God and building good character. The visit planted seeds of hope and inspired students to grow in integrity and faith.
Building Pathways to Hope
Through these initiatives, HSC Tanzania strengthened relationships with vulnerable children, offering not only spiritual guidance but also practical pathways to care. The ministry continues to remind children and youth that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.
Zambia: Gratitude in Challenges
This year began with challenges, yet God’s guidance was evident. Three new students—also volunteers—joined the program, learning trauma and crisis management while processing their own life experiences.
Despite difficulties, the team chose gratitude, and blessings followed: donations of clothes, classroom tables, a repaired roof, and a new stove. The children have grown in discipline, education, and personal development, forming a family-like community. A new ministry driver and counselling team are now supporting reintegration efforts, and government institutions have reached out to collaborate on addressing homelessness.
